Situated in the small crofting township of Naast, this delightful bungalow, which is new to the self-catering market, enjoys stunning views across Loch Ewe towards Inverewe Gardens and the magnificent An Teallach. It sits in an elevated position with a hilly backdrop behind providing shelter, possibly giving it its name, which means high rock. Its elevated position means it is not overlooked and it is very secluded and peaceful. Naast lies some 3 miles north of Poolewe on the picturesque road leading to the mouth of Loch Ewe. Perhaps the highlight of this road is the beautiful sandy beach at Firemore, about 3 miles from Creagard.
Poolewe is a very pretty village with a shop/Post Office, a hotel/bar, café, indoor swimming pool and a village hall, which hosts a weekly market. The world famous Inverewe Gardens are also in Poolewe. Gairloch, the nearest small town, is only 9 miles away and there you will find more shops, restaurants and hotels. From Gairloch pier, fishing and wildlife cruises can be arranged and there is also a golf course and pony trekking centre. Further afield, the whole of the North West coast of Scotland just waits to be explored and enjoyed.
The bungalow sleeps 5 and all the accommodation is on the ground floor.
Large lounge with comfortable leather suite with reclining chairs, digital Freeview TV, Bang and Olufsen Airplay sound system and multi fuel stove. Patio doors leading to the front garden. There are magnificent views out towards the loch, Inverewe gardens and the mountains behind and a telescope is provided for your use.
Dining room with views over the loch.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer. The kitchen boasts an oil-fired Stanley range for the discerning cook and an electric cooker, grill and hob for everyone else! A breakfast table completes the room.
Principal bedroom with a king size bed, wash hand basin and views over the loch.
Double bedroom with wash hand basin.
Single bedroom.
Shower room with WC, wash basin, heated towel rail and shower cubicle with electric shower.
Oil central heating.
The large garden is totally enclosed, mainly laid to grass with a picnic table and there is ample parking for 4 cars.
The owners operate a small scale micro brewery adjacent to the property producing craft beers and supplying local establishments.
A cottage set in a most lovely setting with fantastic views. All very clean and well equipped with tasteful furniture and a well equipped kitchen. There are many different feeding stations for the birds outside of the kitchen and we have spent a lot of time watching and enjoying them. I recommend this place and the walking and sight seeing you can do if you have a car.
“Location, Location, Location a definite win! Lovely house in a beautiful setting with magnificent views. Had some lovely beach walks and some hill walks with the 2 dogs, they loved it. The dogs also loved surveying the world from the garden and patio doors. A dog paradise.”
“We loved staying at Creagard, We had a week of sunshine. Amazing to wake up and have a cup of tea on the lawn and look at the mountains or wander down to the jetty and have an early morning swim.
We spent a lot of time on the beaches but also managed to catch nine trout in Loch Horrisdale and climb Sgur Mor. Our children were big fans of the reclining chairs and the complimentary sweets.”
"What a wonderful time we have had here. Beautifully appointed cottage, a warm welcome from the owners and the scenery from every window makes your heart sing. Take a trip to Ullapool- an amazing drive. A trip to Cove and the beach and not forgetting the small distillery at Badachro. Absolutely stunning"
Fantastic time had by all, The location is superb with the beautiful views. The house is very well equiped and we had everything we could possibly need. The sun has been shining all week which has made our time here all the more special. We hope to be back and visit again soon.
