Bayview Cottage, Badachro

Bayview Cottage is located in the small village of Badachro, on the south side of Gairloch bay and is ideally situated overlooking Badachro bay just yards from the shore and enjoys magnificent sea and mountain views. Otters, seals, eagles, herons and pine martins can all be spotted from the cottage. The property has been totally refurbished to a particularly high standard by the present owner and is exceptionally well equipped and nicely furnished.

Badachro is a former fishing village, which is now a haven for yachts and small boats. The pub in the village is lively and friendly for lunch, drinks or an evening out, probably the best pub in the area.  https://www.badachroinn.com/ There are several excellent beaches in the area and this is an ideal choice for walking, fishing or just relaxing and enjoying the peace and tranquility of Wester Ross. The beautiful Red Point beaches are only 6 miles south of the cottage and pony trekking is also available here. Within a short drive, Gairloch provides a wealth of activities, including golf, fishing and whale watching cruises, and there are some excellent shops and restaurants here. Further afield lies the whole of the west coast of Scotland just waiting to be explored.

Accommodation

Ground floor

Large well equipped kitchen/dining room, with electric range cooker with double oven, large fridge and freezer, washing machine/dryer, microwave, air fryer, Tassimo coffee machine (no pods supplied), cafetiere, TV and DVD player. Patio doors lead out onto a small front patio/sitting area. A dining table and chairs complete the room.

Family bathroom with toilet, wash basin and corner bath with power shower above. Hairdryer.

First floor

Large lounge comfortably furnished with settees, one of which is a double sofa bed and a TV. There is a firestick streamer on the TV which has Netflix on it allowing far more channels and films. There is a multi fuel stove for those chilly days. There is a selection of DVDs, games and books provided, also an I-pod docking station. A large patio door opens to a front balcony with splendid views over Badachro bay. 

Principal bedroom with double bed, and en-suite shower room with WC, wash basin and heated towel rail. Direct access to private grassed garden.

Heating is by a multi fuel stove in the lounge. There are also electric heaters in all rooms.

2 fully fenced garden areas, one laid out with grass, the other a large patio area with picnic table and BBQ. This second garden can be accessed from the road should you wish to store bikes or kayaks there. Parking opposite the house on roadside.
