Riverside Cottage is an old detached cottage situated right in the centre of Poolewe, in a very picturesque spot overlooking the River Ewe, so combines both lovely views of the river and the convenience of amenities close by.

Poolewe is a very pretty village and has a shop/Post Office, a hotel/bar, café, indoor swimming pool and a village hall, which hosts a weekly market. The cottage is ideally situated for walking, there being many excellent walks close by, and there are many sandy beaches within a short drive. From the door it is possible to walk along the river and up into the hills. The world famous Inverewe Gardens are only 10 minutes walk away and the River Ewe is one of the best salmon fishing rivers in the area. Gairloch, the nearest small town, is only 6 miles away and there you will find more shops, restaurants and hotels. From Gairloch pier, fishing and wildlife cruises can be arranged and there is also a golf course and pony trekking centre.

ACCOMMODATION
Ground Floor.
Front porch. Lounge with open fire (coal provided), comfortable sofas, satellite TV / DVD player and dining table and chairs. Small kitchen with an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge. Small single bedroom. Large bathroom with electric shower over bath.
First Floor.
A double bedroom and a king size bedroom, both with pleasant sitting areas where you can sit and enjoy the views of the river. New shower room with WC and wash hand basin.
Whilst the cottage sleeps 5, facilities are currently only suitable for 4 so the single bedroom is provided as alternative sleeping accommodation.
Large fenced in garden, laid out to grass with picnic table to front. Ample private parking area..

Special Notes

Heating is by a mixture of storage and electric panel heaters. Heating / electricity costs included in the rent.
Bed linen and towels are provided and are included in the rent.
We regret that neither pets nor smoking is permitted in the cottage.

Nearest shop 600 yards.
Available Easter to October.

Directions

Follow the A832 to Gairloch – continue on this road for a further 6 miles and you will reach Poolewe. The road crosses the River Ewe. Directly after this, on the right is Riverside, which as the name suggests runs alongside the river. Riverside Cottage is about 200 yards on the left directly after the church
