Heatherside is a large detached bungalow situated in a large garden on a quiet road near the head of the peninsular between Loch Ewe and Gruinard Bay. This peninsular, which culminates at Greenstone Pont enjoys magnificent views of both sea and mountains. To the north are the Summer Isles and The Coigach peaks and to the east, across Gruinard Bay, the impressive mountain ranges of An Teallach.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, you won’t find better and there are many walks close by, whether it be a walk around the headland to Greenstone Point or a walk to Slaggan beach, where there was a settlement long ago. One of the best beaches in the area, Mellon Udrigle is less than a mile away and the staggeringly beautiful beach at Gruinard is only a short drive away. This is an ideal base from which to tour this scenic and unspoilt area. Inverewe Gardens is only 13 miles away and further afield are all the amenities provided in the towns of Gairloch (20miles) and Ullapool ( 45miles).

Heatherside offers high quality accommodation for 8 persons. Entrance porch. Utility room with washing machine. The kitchen is large, modern and well equipped with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave, and incorporates a dining area with views out to Gruinard Bay. There is a large lounge with open fire (fuel provided), satellite TV and DVD player and radio/CD player. Adjacent sun lounge with door leading into the garden. Four bedrooms – 2 double, one with ensuite shower room, and 2 twin. Bathroom with shower above bath. 2 acre garden with grassed areas and woodland, with stream, fully fenced. Ample parking.

Full oil central heating. Heating /electric costs are included in the rent, and fuel is provided for the open fire.
Pets are allowed, but no smoking is allowed in the house.
Bed linen and towels are provided and are included in the rent.
Cot and high chair available on request.

Directions

From Inverness follow the signs for Ullapool (A835). Continue on this road through Contin and Garve to Braemore Junction. Turn left onto the A832 for Gairloch and proceed for about 30 miles as far as Laide Post Office. Turn right along the road to Mellon Udrigle and Opinan. After 3 miles and opposite the beach turn left to Opinan (you will see the post box at the junction). Continue along this road for 0.9 mile and Heatherside is on your left.
