This is a substantial stone built traditional croft house, which has been extended to provide comfortable accommodation for 9 people. It stands back from a quiet minor road in a small crofting community on the west side of Loch Ewe.
This is an ideal base for touring the scenic West Coast and there is a lovely sandy beach at Firemore within easy walking distance, in fact it is one of the nicest beaches in the area.. Other local activities include fishing, hill walking, bird watching, and golf and pony-trekking in Gairloch. Poolewe has hotels and a shop as well as an indoor swimming pool and the National Trust Inverewe Gardens. The peninsular between Loch Ewe and Loch Gairloch is also home to a pair of sea eagles, which you have a good chance of spotting.
The rooms in the house are spacious, and the accommodation is comfortable and homely. The house is very much a family holiday home. It has not been modernised over much and is full of old furniture. If you are looking for somewhere immaculately furnished and with all mod cons, this isn’t for you! It does however have heaps of charm and character!

Ground floor.
A sun-porch, with fantastic views of the loch and the mountains leads into the house. This is double-glazed and bright, an ideal place to sit and soak in the scenery. There is a comfortable lounge with an open fire – there is no television, but plenty of books and games. Separate dining room. The kitchen has an electric cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The bathroom has a bath, wash hand basin and WC. Also on the ground floor are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. A utility room with washing machine, shower cubicle, basin and WC is accessed from outside.
First floor.
There are three bedrooms upstairs – one double, one twin (with cot). and a single. The two larger have stunning views over the loch and mountains.
Walled front garden and fenced in garden and ample parking.
Special Notes
Partial night storage heating, open sitting room fire and immersion water heater. All electricity costs and fuel for the open fire are included in the price.
Pets are allowed, but no smoking please.
Guests must provide their own bed linen, towels and tea towels. (Duvets, pillows and blankets are provided)
Cot and high chair available.
Nearest shop, pub and restaurant 5 miles.

PLEASE NOTE THIS COTTAGE DOES NOT GET CLEANED BETWEEN LETS, SO WE WOULD BE GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD LEAVE IT CLEAN AND TIDY FOR THE NEXT TENANTS.
Directions
Entering Poolewe from Gairloch, there is a left turn just before the shop, the B8057 signposted ‘Cove - Inverasdale'. Take this road and follow it for about 5 miles along the shore of Loch Ewe. Inverasdale School is on the left and can be seen as you travel along the road through Inverasdale. No 20 Coast is the last house on the left before you reach the school. There is a small cottage at the end of the lane, turn up by this and there is ample parking space in front of the cottage.
